Jeme Tienyow Honors College Successfully Held Orientation Conference for Students Who Enrolled in 2021

　　On the evening of September 13, Jeme Tienyow Honors College held Orientation Conference for Students Who Enrolled in 2021, in the Tianyou Hall. Zhang Xingchen, Dean of Jeme Tienyow Honors College, Wen Yinghong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the College, Li Qingyong, Vice Dean of the College, representative head teachers of freshmen who enrolled in 2021, and teachers in charge of the College's office of Educational Affairs, Academic Affairs and Administration attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Ma Tai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the college.

　　Dean Zhang Xingchen introduced the talent training positioning and goals of Jeme Tienyow Honors College, and pointed out that the college shoulders the important task of cultivating future leaders of Intelligent Transportation. He encouraged the Tianyou students to do the following three things. First, they should set great ambitions and make great virtues. Second, they should learn to plan and adapt to university life. Third, they should be open, tolerant, unite and forge ahead, and join hands with classmates to create brilliant youth.

　　Party Secretary and Vice Dean Wen Yinghong extended welcome and congratulations to the 306 new owners of the college. Combining the great significance of training top-notch innovative talents, she introduced the achievements of the college in talent training, improvement of comprehensive quality, and individualized development of students in the past year. She encouraged students to strive to achieve three aspects: one is to climb high and look far, to be determined to become talented, and to be a Jeme Tienyow Honors College student with a sense of family and country; the second is to distinguish right from wrong, to take a broad view, and to be a Jeme Tienyow Honors College student with correct views on the world, life and values; the third is to combine knowledge and action, to lead the future, and to be a Jeme Tienyow Honors College student who bends himself to practice.

　　Zhang Xingchen and Wen Yinghong unveiled the emblem of the Jeme Tienyow Honors College. The emblem draws on the outline of the school emblem of Beijing Jiaotong University. The elements of the China Railway High-speed Train, the bridge and the Chinese seal reflect the college’s mission and responsibility in building a powerful country in transportation and bravely climbing the peak of science and technology.
