Tianyou Afternoon Tea Jeme Tienyow Honors College Held the Thirteenth "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" as Scheduled

　　The thirteenth session of “Afternoon Tea” of Jeme Tienyow Honors College was held on the afternoon of May 13 at Siyuan Time Cafe, Beijing Jiaotong University. In this afternoon tea, Dr. Peyman Aela, an international student from the School of Civil Engineering, was invited to participate in this themed activity. Teacher Tan Jie from the National Education Institute, teacher representatives from Jeme Tienyow Honors College, international student representatives and more than 30 students participated in the activity. Shao Xinyi, a student of Tianyou 2005 Class, served as the host of this issue.

　　At the beginning, classmate Abodi from Indonesia sang the song "July", which kicked off the activity.

　　Dr. Peyman Aela has published more than 10 SCI papers. With the theme of "How to Write a Good SCI Paper", he shared practical writing skills and writing experience with his classmates. Dr. Peyman Aela shared the preparations to be done before writing the paper, the writing structure of the paper, the common problems and writing methods of each part of the SCI. He introduced the different writing standards of different conferences and journals and recommended free download websites for papers and e-books, reference indexes, and professional websites with modified formats.

　　In the communication session, the students exchanged views with Dr. Peyman Aela on issues such as the proportion of pictures and data in the paper and how to meet the index requirements of different journals. Teacher Tan Jie introduced the distribution and training of international students in our school, and encouraged everyone to actively participate in international exchange activities to participate in international practice.

　　Based on the “Three-Integrity Education”, this issue of "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" provides students with a stage for cross-cultural exchanges, which enables students to broaden their international horizons in addition to exchanges and learning. At the same time, through inviting the doctoral student to share how write high-quality academic papers to help students understand and contact scientific research as soon as possible, strengthen scientific research awareness, and improve the level of innovation. The college makes full use of the school’s international exchange opportunities to broaden students’ international horizons, and has played a positive role in clarifying personal plans, strengthening their own development, and improving overall quality. In the future, the college will continue to strengthen the cultivation of international talents and the improvement of personal comprehensive abilities and continue to innovate, and make unremitting efforts for the development and success of students.
