Tianyou Afternoon Tea Jeme Tienyow Honors College Successfully Held "Telling the Story of Joining the Party and Inheriting the Red Gene"

public time:2021-10-20 07:48:00

  In order to celebrate the centenary of the founding of Communist Party of China, to carry out the study of the history of the Party, the history of New China, the history of Reform and Opening-up, and the history of socialist development, and to educate and guide the majority of young students to love the Party, the country, and socialism, Jeme Tienyow Emerging Technology College held Tianyou Afternoon Tea with the theme of "Telling the Story of Joining the Party and Inheriting the Red Gene" on the afternoon of April 14th and April 15th . The activity invited the experienced member of the Party , Professor Tan Zhenhui, former president of Beijing Jiaotong University, and Professor Song Shouxin, former vice president of Beijing Jiaotong University, to share and exchange thematic party courses. Party members and more than 60 Party activists from the Jeme Tienyow Emerging Technology College Party branch participated in the activity. The activity was hosted by Tianyou Party activists Li Yifan and Chen Zhaokai respectively who became Party activists in 2020.

  Professor Tan Zhenhui combined his bumpy experience in joining the party when he submitted two applications in 1965 and 1986, and encouraged everyone to always strictly demand themselves according to the standards of party members and keep their original intentions of joining the party. When sharing his basic communications work experience, he pointed out that people should keep the red heart listening to the Party's call and the spirit of "not afraid of suffering, afraid of not suffering", and take root to serve the masses. As an old party member and professor, Professor Tan used his own personal experience to share with you the great changes that the Chinese Communist Party has led the people of all ethnic groups across the country to become prosperous for 40 years, and encouraged students to contribute their own strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

  Professor Song Shouxin cited the song "My Motherland and Me" and talked about our relationship with the motherland and the relationship with the Party are like the relationship between the sea and the waves. The country was the "reliance" of the individual, and the individual constituted the "naked son" of the motherland. People should contribute to the development of the motherland. He shared his experience and insights in the construction of the motherland by combining with his identity of the old Party member, old teacher and grassroots teaching and educating experience. He pointed out that learning is the foundation of safety and destiny of students in the future, and he hoped that students would "revere" their identity and responsibilities and forge a way to serve the country through scientific research.

  In the teacher-student interaction session, the professor combined his own learning and research experience to express his hope that the students would not only be able to "learn", but also "ask" in order to form a "learning". At the same time, in light of the current international situation, he talked about that "Life is not full of life, often cherishes thousands of years of worry", and hoped that the students would have their homeland in their hearts, be prepared for danger in times of peace, and better cope with various risks and challenges.

  Based on his work experience, Professor Song hoped that the students can settle down when they were in the choice and confusion, and fully considered subjective and objective conditions to make a choice. At the same time, they must have the consciousness and determination to sacrifice everything for the Party and the motherland when the party needs it.

  In this activity, they combined their work experience to talk about their "initial intentions" and "missions" with the Party activists of Jeme Tienyow Emerging Technology College, and gave them a lively party class. He also placed great expectations on the classmates. Combining this theme, the sharing activity opened the prelude to recalling the red past and praising the prosperity of the motherland with Cui Kaiqun’s cucurbit solo "Azalea" and Liu Zhenhao's fife solo "Me and My Motherland". Through this theme activity, the students realized that the younger generation must have ideals, skills, and responsibilities, and must withstand storms and provoke the leaders in order to live up to their original aspirations and fulfill their mission. The students also realized that personal success, the prosperity of the motherland, and the rejuvenation of the nation are inseparable from personal struggle. They must create value and achieve their dreams in the struggle. Jeme Tienyow Honors College will focus on the fundamental task of establishing morality, forge ahead, innovate, and make efforts to cultivate socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical education, art and labor, as a gift to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party.
