On the afternoon of November 5th, students of Jeme Tienyow Honors College ushered in the fourth "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" sharing activity at Siyuan Time Cafe in Beijing Jiaotong University. The two lecturers invited in this issue were Professor Yang Na of School of Civil Engineering and Professor Li Qingyong of Jeme Tienyow Honors College. Relevant teachers of the college and more than 30 students who had signed up voluntarily participated in this activity.

The fourth Tianyou Afternoon Tea not only provided students with an opportunity to learn from outstanding academic tutors, but also provided a platform for students to show their interest in scientific research and enthusiasm for learning. Combining his hobbies, starting from shortening the distance to the classroom, student Fu Jinji shared the content and experience of the gradient descent method in machine learning and won rounds of applause.

With the theme of "Introduction of the Chinese Stories of Civil Engineering and Beijing Jiaotong University", Professor Yang Na guided the students to further strengthen their cultural self-confidence in the cultural heritage of Chinese architecture. Then, she guided students to understand the changes and achievements of the civil engineering in China and the civil engineering in Beijing Jiaotong University, encouraging students to actively assume social responsibility and mission of the times, and stimulating students' enthusiasm for research and aspirations for further studies.

With the theme of "Talking about the Subject Competition", Professor Li Qingyong introduced issues of widespread concern to students such as "why participate in the subject competition, what kind of subject competition to participate in, and how to participate in the student competition" based on his own competition experience, encouraging students to actively explore their own potential, learn about themselves, achieve themselves, and contribute to the country in subject competitions.

After the teacher sharing session, the students at the meeting actively communicated with the teachers on issues such as "work and life, the future needs of civil construction, and programming thinking". The two teachers gave wonderful answers based on their experiences and cases. After the activity, the participating students gave positive feedback, thanked the teacher for the analysis and guidance, and said that "the teacher's explanation has given us a clearer understanding of the subject, which is very helpful for our future professional choices."

The fourth "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" continued to adhere to cross integration, adhere to the integration of science and education, adhere to the student center. It took moral education as the fundamental task, and took a good atmosphere of innovation as the starting point, creating a high-quality academic exchange platform for teachers and students and a training platform for the college's "Three-Integrity Education". The college will continue to optimize the form of activities and make "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" a shining business card of Jeme Tienyow Honors College.
