Tianyou Afternoon Tea | Jeme Tienyow Honors College Held the Second "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" as Scheduled

　　On the afternoon of October 22, the second "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" sharing activity was held as scheduled in the Siyuan Time Cafe of Beijing Jiaotong University. Two main lecturers, namely, Professor Lin Xiaoyan of the School of Economics and Management and Professor Fang Yuefa of the School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering, related teachers of these colleges, representatives of some head teachers, and more than 30 students who have signed up voluntarily were invited to participate in this activity.

　　The second Tianyou Afternoon Tea is a new integration of artistic elements on a professional basis, and the prelude of this activity is kicked off with the song "Those Years" by Xu Jiayang.

　　With the theme of "Special and General", Professor Lin Xiaoyan shared the application of the unity of knowledge and action in the collision relationship between basic theory and professional practice, guiding students to correctly understand the generality of the knowledge learning of the students of Jeme Tienyow Honors College and the particularity of the training mode and historical mission, encouraging students to further improve themselves around the four elements of "humanistic feelings, professional skills, value orientation, and scientific literacy".

　　With the theme of "Robot Technology and Related Subject Foundations", Professor Fang Yuefa shared with everyone the important significance and development needs of machine technology in the modernization process, outlined the great prospects of robotics-related technologies, and put forward higher requirements for the students to actively broaden their horizons and cultivate the quality of active learning ability.

　　After the teacher's sharing session, the students at the meeting actively discussed "the boundary of robotics and interdisciplinary, the historical evolution and significance of economic and trade subject, the particularity of the joint training model under the special transportation project, and the occupational anxiety under the background of the era of intelligent machinery," and other questions with teachers, resolved some doubts in personal development planning, improved professional cognition and professional interest, which played a driving role in clarifying the direction and goals of self-cultivation of students. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, after the sharing session, the college presented the Jeme Tienyow Honors College's characteristic souvenirs to the academic tutors. Participating students actively established contact with teachers, thanked them for sharing and explaining, and said that “it is very helpful for them to correctly understand the development significance of the professional era and strengthen their own development goals”, actively shared their thoughts after the activity, and put forward valuable suggestions for the continuation of the "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" activity.

　　On the basis of the platform for all-staff education, "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" provides a stage for students to show their personality, so that students can also pay attention to the development of personal comprehensive quality in addition to learning and communication, and further implement the training concept of individualized and diversified education for students.
