Tianyou Afternoon Tea | Jeme Tienyow Honors College Successfully Held the Third "Tianyou Afternoon Tea"

　　On the afternoon of October 29th, students in Jeme Tienyow Honors College ushered in the third "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" sharing activity at Siyuan Time Cafe in Beijing Jiaotong University. Two main lecturers, namely Professor Cao Zhigang of School of Economics and Management and Professor Xu Yin of School of Electrical Engineering, related teachers of the school, representatives of some class teachers, and more than 40 students who had signed up voluntarily were invited to participate in this activity.

　　This Tianyou Afternoon Tea continued the activity style which emphasized that student's personal aesthetic education training and academic exchanges were blended with each other. The student representative Xu Shuxi brought a wonderful speed cube performance to the teachers and students, which aroused the surprise of the teachers and students, let the activity open in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

　　Professor Cao Zhigang took "Introduction to the Academic Contributions of Nobel Prize Winners Milgrom and Wilson in 2020" as the theme, led everyone to explore the world of Nobel Prize winners, and shared with everyone what kind of game art is auction, and what kind of economics has a significant impact on the status quo and future development trends of the world economy, guiding students to strengthen their professional knowledge while cultivating a professional outlook and sense of mission.

　　With the theme of "Challenges and Developments of the Power Energy Industry Under the New Situation", Professor Xu Yin shared with everyone the development history of the power energy industry and the current people's new development requirements for the industry. It guided everyone to realize that there are huge challenges in the further development of the industry, pointed out the direction of the industry's development, and encouraged students to face up to the difficulties they will face in the process of scientific research and look for solutions with a positive attitude.

　　After the teacher sharing session, the students at the meeting actively communicated with teachers on issues such as “the safety and stability of power grids, the advantages of cross-disciplinary development, the unification of technical levels and economic benefits, the fundamental guiding factors for industry development”, which promoted students to further experience the charm and challenges of interdisciplinary, and enhanced students' sense of professional mission and social responsibility. After the sharing session, the college presented Jeme Tienyow Honors College's characteristic souvenirs to the academic tutors. The students at the conference gave positive feedback and thanked the teachers for sharing and guidance, and said that “I have a deeper understanding of the profession and I am full of confidence in the future. I hope to have the opportunity to participate in the activity again."

　　The third "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" continued to carry forward the dual-pronged spirit of academic education and quality training, and further implemented the training concept of individualized and diversified education for students. In the future, the college will continue to optimize the form of activities and build the "Tianyou Afternoon Tea" into a high-quality platform for “Three-Integrity Education” to promote the all-round development of students.
